I wish you were here
Life is a maze, love is a puzzle
I am lost in the haze, caught in the bubble
I turn around and see the shadows of you
I lie awake and I miss you
.
It’s not the same without you
I am in a world that I never knew
I can’t get over the past
The eclipse came and went off so fast
.
Still the silence seems so bad
Without you, these are the worst days I have had
I haven’t slept in days
I wander in the dark along the bays
.
Sitting on my doorway all day and night
The old times still brings you to my sight
Chicken and eggs and noodles and wine
I wish I could take you out again to dine
.
Too many laughs, too many cries, too many talks
Another moment with you is all my hearts asks
If only I could talk to you in your ears
I miss you, I wish I could bring back all the years
.
I see you watching me from the stars
Please don’t cry, please don’t rain
I promise I will get over this pain
.
I swear I won’t forget you
Under this veil I will wait for you
This cold world was not meant for you
I will try and fix it as would you
.
I promise your tale won’t end just here
I just miss you and wish you were here
-Prasad
“Missing someone isn’t about how long it’s been since you’ve seen them last or the amount of time since you’ve talked. It’s about that very moment when you’re doing something, and you wish that they were right there with you.”
This is a lovely poem. I can relate a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Wow. This is a very beautiful poem, even if it did make me sad especially when I read this part,
I see you watching me from the stars
Please don’t cry, please don’t rain
I promise I will get over this pain
That’s when I realized it wasn’t a simple break up or separation. 😥

I would love to be in this state of comatose which gives me hope. To lay dreaming is just another way to obscure the reality by giving a momentary solace from the past. This is by far my favourite string of words attached together. And will probably remain so. I am glad you liked it.

Such a beautiful poem 🙂 I got goosebumps when I read it because I have someone waiting in the stars for me. My mother passed in 2008, and I wish she were here every single passing hour. Even though she is not here in the physical, her energy is still with me and I know she is near me.
Just stop and listen for yourself. You may find that your loved one is not as far away as you think ❤
Many thanks for visiting my blog!
Blessings, love and light,
~Juniper aka Jennifer

Well what do I say! Sometimes memories and the past is the only things that we have to live with and live for. Its still amazes me the way you could take such a huge loss in your stride. I still find it so hard to deal with it with every minute of my day.

Powerful and beautiful poem… we find it hard to move on without them… but something inside us knows they understand… and for our own sake we must continue our journey… knowing they are always there, in the stars and our heart… Barbara

Sometimes distraction is a bliss. Sometimes delusion is a bliss. But still at the end of the day, that empty space always remains empty. No matter how hard you try to fill your glass, no matter how hard you try to bring back, only flashes, only glimpses only old memories come back.

We do miss the ones who are dear to us, don’t we? its only when they are miles apart, oceans apart or even worlds apart, do we realize what we had and what we sorely miss now in our lives. Thanks Kev for your insights on my poem.
